Connecting data sources to your Orbit workspace is key to expanding the scope of what you know about your community. Now, in addition to our community integrations and our API, you can now also take advantage of Zapier to quickly work with thousands of other applications.
Our Zapier integration now allows you to trigger a Zap workflow on any new activity in your Orbit workspace. We've also included granular control over the filtering of those activities so you can get specific about which activities trigger which Zaps.
For those of you who are already familiar with Zapier, you can start building new Zaps right away by checking out the Orbit integrations page.
Get started with Zapier and Orbit
If you're new to the Zapier world, there's a handy getting started guide in our documentation that will walk you through connecting Zapier and Orbit as well as show you how to build your first workflow (or Zap, as they're known in Zapier-land).
New Zapier Templates
When faced with the amount of choice Zapier offers, it can sometimes be overwhelming to figure out how you might use it with Orbit. To help with this, we've created 20 brand new Zapier Templates for common use cases that we're either using ourselves or that we've seen Orbit users create for themselves over the past few months.
For example, if you want to create a new activity in your Orbit workspace when someone books a meeting via your Calendly, we've made a template for that.
Want to add new RSVPs to your Meetup event to Orbit? There's a template for that, too.
How about creating a new activity when a guest joins your event on Luma? Great! We've got you covered with that as well.
Outside of the templates, you can create any combination of Orbit and application of your choice (as long as that app has a Zapier integration, of course).
If you're looking for further inspiration, we recently wrote about how you can use Zapier to add product events to Orbit to understand product usage alongside community engagement.
Time to create some Zaps
As ever, we're very keen to hear about what you use the Zapier integration for and what you'd like to see added to it in the future so please feel free to take it for a spin and let us know how you found the experience.
